Bayside Volunteer Ambulance Corps was founded in 1955 by a man named Arthur R. Meier. The corps was formed when Mr. Meier call upon his fellow citizens  from various civic, fraternal, religious, and business organization in the community for support to start an volunteer ambulance corps. The corps first ambulance was a 1948 Buick hearse donated by Frank Hatton. To be Continued....
